By accessing or using Scout Post, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scout Post is a Google Chat bot that integrates with Basecamp to provide:

• Real-time synchronization of Basecamp notifications to Google Chat
• Bidirectional messaging between Basecamp and Google Chat
• AI-powered commands for automation and productivity
• Search, broadcast, and other productivity features

3. User Accounts and Access

3.1 Account Requirements

• You must have a valid Google Workspace account
• You must have a valid Basecamp account
• You must be at least 13 years old
• You must provide accurate and complete information

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your accounts
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You May

• Use Scout Post for legitimate business purposes
• Connect multiple Basecamp projects (subject to plan limits)
• Use AI-powered features for productivity
• Share Scout Post with your team members

4.2 You May NOT

• Use Scout Post for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Use Scout Post to send spam or unsolicited messages
• Abuse, harass, or harm others through the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service (except as provided)
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

5.1 Free Plan

• Limited to 3 Basecamp projects
• Basic features included
• No credit card required
• Can be upgraded at any time

5.2 Paid Plans

• Billed monthly or annually
• Prices as listed on our website
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• No refunds for partial months

5.3 Payment

• Payment is processed through secure third-party providers
• You authorize us to charge your payment method
• You must keep payment information current
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

5.4 Cancellation

• You may cancel at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for unused time
• You can reactivate your account at any time

6. Service Availability

6.1 Uptime

• We strive for 99.9% uptime
• Enterprise plans include SLA guarantees
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance

6.2 Service Changes

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
• We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes
• We are not liable for any modifications or discontinuations

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

• Scout Post and all related materials are owned by Archetypal Hero
• Our trademarks, logos, and branding are protected
• You may not use our intellectual property without permission

7.2 Your Rights

• You retain all rights to your Basecamp and Google Chat content
• You grant us a limited license to process your data to provide the Service
• This license terminates when you stop using Scout Post

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of Scout Post is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We do not store message content
• We only store thread IDs for conversation mapping
• Data is automatically deleted after 30 days
• You can request data deletion at any time

9. Third-Party Services

Scout Post integrates with third-party services:

• Basecamp: Subject to Basecamp's terms and policies
• Google Workspace: Subject to Google's terms and policies
• Google Gemini API: Subject to Google's AI terms

We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

10.1 Service "As Is"

Scout Post is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability

10.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not liable for data loss, business interruption, or lost profits
• We are not liable for third-party services or integrations

10.3 Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on warranties or liability. In such cases, these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Archetypal Hero, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of Scout Post
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of any applicable laws

12. Termination

12.1 By You

• You may terminate at any time by disconnecting Scout Post
• You may request data deletion

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your account is inactive for an extended period
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

12.3 Effect of Termination

• Your access to Scout Post will cease
• Your data will be deleted according to our retention policy
• Paid subscriptions are non-refundable

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or Scout Post shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except:

• You may bring claims in small claims court
• We may seek injunctive relief in court

13.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending a notification through Scout Post (for significant changes)

Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Archetypal Hero regarding Scout Post.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

15.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor or affiliate.

15.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
